2024 title reveals: Worm 3, new TPONG

Two pieces of exciting news!

First, the title reveal for the final book in The Worm and His Kings trilogy from Off Limits Press: Song of the Tyrant Worm is coming in spring 2024, concluding the queer cosmic horror trilogy with a mind-bending bang!

Next, my debut novella The Possession of Natalie Glasgow has been out of print for a bit, but it’s at last coming back next summer when Rooster Republic Press (publisher of Queen of Teeth) unleashes my new collection, The Ghostlands of Natalie Glasgow. Check out that beautiful cover art by Nicholas Day!

This is a little different than your usual collection. It includes the original TPONG novella, along with six new interconnected stories (one of them a novelette) involving the characters of TPONG in years-spanning encounters with hauntings, possessions, and the unexplained.

Also exciting, pre-orders are up for the hardcover, which comes in the standard hardcover (can be ordered until April 30th, 2024) and the deluxe edition, of which there will only be 30 copies. There won’t be more of these later, and they’ll ship ahead of the wider paperback and ebook releases in summer 2024. Check it out here!

Novel announcement: All the Hearts You Eat

Exciting news—I have a new book coming from Titan, publisher of my still-upcoming novel A Light Most Hateful.
All the Hearts You Eat is a monstrous vampire novel about a dead girl, a haunted coast, an ancient curse, and a thirst for blood, and it will release in October 2024! This will be my fifth novel after the two still releasing this year. It’s gutting and harsh and personal, but also a bloody beastly time.
Halloween season 2024 and its vampires are still a long ways off, but we’re getting the word out early as this book is a chunky monster, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!

Release day: Even the Worm Will Turn; announcements

Release day at last, it’s here: Even the Worm Will Turn is out today from Off Limits Press!

Four years after the events of The Worm and His Kings, Donna Ashton ekes out a life far removed from her troubled past, only to be abducted one December night by a monster in man’s skin.

Held prisoner by operatives of a clandestine research facility and drugged into a sickened state, each day brings questioning and punishment. Escape should be possible when Donna faces only mortal hands this time, but the more she sees, the worse her mind splinters with horrific understanding.

This facility has punched a hole in space and time. Within it lie secrets mankind should never know of a darkness beyond the universe, the legacy of the almighty Worm, and revelations behind Donna’s ordeal four years ago which now might get her killed.

The ebook is up on Amazon, and you can grab the paperback from Barnes and Noble, Bookshop, and Little District Books, among other indie bookstores.

And joining the release is a cool announcement: an audiobook for Even the Worm Will Turn is coming from Tantor Media in the near future! They’ll also be producing audiobooks for the third book in The Worm and His Kings series, as well as Cranberry Cove.

What’s Cranberry Cove? My just-announced supernatural crime novella releasing in early 2024 from Bad Hand Books. More details on that to come, but signed paperback pre-orders are available in limited quantity right now from the publisher.

Book announcement: A Light Most Hateful

I’m been on the verge of bursting to share this news, and now it’s finally out! I’m beyond thrilled to share that Titan Books will be publishing a new novel by me in 2023, A Light Most Hateful. It’s a tale of catastrophe striking a small town, testing the bonds of friendship, and straining at reality itself.

We have No Gods for Drowning releasing from Polis Books in about a month, and the next year is quite busy with Cruel Angels Past Sundown releasing in the first quarter, followed later by Even the Worm Will Turn (sequel to The Worm and His Kings) and now A Light Most Hateful. It’s going to be an exciting time, so keep an eye out for further updates!

Books announcement: The Worm and His Kings trilogy

I’m tremendously excited to announce that my 2020 queer cosmic horror novella The Worm and His Kings will be getting two sequels, each published by Off Limits Press, forming a cosmic horror trilogy of novellas!

The second book, Even the Worm Will Turn, will release in 2023. The third and final book (title to be revealed) will release in 2024. I can’t wait to share more of this cosmic horror world with you! Worm faithful, keep watching.

Audiobook: Your Mind Is a Terrible Thing; Tor Nightfire article

Narrated by Laura Lockwood

It’s early, but the audiobook for my new space horror novella Your Mind Is a Terrible Thing is out! Find it on Libro.FM + Audible + other sites! Laura Lockwood gives a stellar narration following the plight of Alto, Esme, and Zelany against the horrors on the M.G. Yellowjacket.

Proud to share that I’m not represented by Lane Heymont of The Tobias Literary Agency. I’m excited for what lies ahead!

Also, since I won a Stoker and lost a bet with my wife, I had to make a deleted scene from Queen of Teeth public. Thankfully Tor Nightfire was happy to host, so check out Yaya Betancourt Dreams of Teeth (Or, How to Kill a Toothy Darling).

Book announcement, “Life Begins at Injection” in Lost Contact

Proud to announce that my fourth novella will release from Off Limits Press! Your Mind Is a Terrible Thing will take you into the stars and through the depths of your psyche. Stay tuned for release date, cover reveal, and more info to come!

I also have a new story out, second to last of the year, and it’s a pretty special one! “Life Begins at Injection” is a prequel story to my recent novel Queen of Teeth. If you haven’t read the book yet, don’t worry, the story spoils nothing. If you have read it, you’ll get some more info on what happened 9 years previous from an important character’s point of view.

You can find the story in the last of PMMP’s Lost trilogy, Lost Contact, along with many other fantastic stories of dark sci-fi and tech.

I also appeared on Ghoulish to talk about Queen of Teeth, the short story, and women in transformation, plus a tidbit about the new upcoming novella. Check it out!

Announcement: Cruel Angels Past Sundown

On the short road left until my debut novel Queen of Teeth releases in paperback (August 1st!), I’m thrilled to announce the title and publisher of my upcoming 2023 novel.

Cruel Angels Past Sundown is a splatter western coming from Death’s Head Press. You can’t survive the slaughter without getting blood on your hands. More details to come, but keep an eye out in 2022.

Queen of Teeth paperback cover, date

Some Queen of Teeth updates! Firstly, the order period for the hardcover is almost up. After June, no more hardcovers will be for sale, so order while there’s still time. Hardcovers will ship out in midsummer.

Next, Rooster Republic Press has revealed the paperback cover art by Don Noble and the paperback’s release date of (CHANGE: August 1, 2021)! They’re exploring doing reduced price paperback pre-orders this summer, so more on that when info is available.

“A powerful, beautiful horror story.” – Kirkus in a starred review

I was also recently on a couple podcasts to discuss my new collection Unfortunate Elements of My Anatomy, which is also now available on Bookshop. Check out the episodes of Cursed Morsels in April and Deadhead Space in May.
